My 10 yr old daughter has Panic Attacks!!!

Oh I forgot to mention that she keeps trying to get me to give her the medicine every time her stomach hurts. I wont give it to her unless she is having a panic attack. Its like she is turning into a junkie after seeing how it made her feel lol...I told her its ONLY for when she has a panic attack. I told her to take Tylanol or Motrin if her stomach was hurting that bad. Hyroxyzine is the name of the medicine.

TammyG, Yes Carnation Instant Breakfast would work but Ensure would be better as it is designed specifically for all meal replacement, not just breakfast. Try blending it with ice cream, if she's not fond of it. Good luck, Danielle __________________________________ The PC Support Team

Danielle, I will try the milk shakes with her. I didnt think about that. Carnation instant breakfast should work wouldnt it? I know my other daughter tried the Ensure and hated it! I can also do yogurt with her. She hates jello believe it or not. I just cant believe she couldnt eat the chicken and stars. She said her stomach started hurting her. Thanks for the help ladies :O)

Hi TammyG, For the workbook, you have to work through each of the twelve steps. When you log in, there is an option reading I'd like to get started. Click on that and it will start guiding you through. Until you can get your daughter some professional help, if she won't eat you could give her meal replacement drinks. There are many out there, many flavours and you can find them in most grocery stores. Just check the label in case she has allergies. You may want to double check with you MD if your daughter has any medical conditions. Hope this helps, Danielle ____________________________ The PC Support Team

Go to your session diary and at the top it should say something like contiue with the program. It seems lots of people have this problem. It could be set up better so that it is less confusing, but once ypu figure it out it is not so bad. Good luck. Maybe a milkshake/slush would help? Cold things seem to be easier for me. Make sure you try to keep her out of the house as much as she can so she doesnt get agoraphobic. If she gets hosue bound as some of us do you will have a real problem on your hands. And never force her to do something she really doesn't feel like she can handle. This must be very stressful for you. Be sure to keep your self in check because she needs you.

I havent found the 12 day work book yet. Maybe I did and just didnt know it lol...I have down loaded the pages that she cant rate how bad her anxiety levels were and when she had them. I will have to go look again for the 12 day book. Thanks :O)
