Thoughts

Hey Sparky, I'm thinking along those lines too. I have quit before. this is my third time and I think this time is different because I have learned so much about addiction. I used to think there was nothing wrong with smoking. I never looked at it as an addiction. Now with all the information available to us it is very hard to continue to damage our bodies and not feel bad about it. Especially if you can't hardly breathe and you remember you could breathe better the last time you quit for a few days. When you make up your mind that you really don't want to smoke, you will not. When I get a crave I ask myself Do I really want to smoke? The answer is NO. Climbed out of the wreck :)

Hi Sam, so Happy for you. I too am moving out from under that cloud. Isn't it amazing how sticking to it is paying off. I had been feeling bad about smoking and from smoking for so long it had become my normal. I am so glad I quit and even more rewarding is the fact that I am starting to feel good. I'm proud for you. Keep on doing what you been doing and I'll keep up with you on the board. HARD WORK. News Flash

Seems to me those companys could spend thier testing money to lobbying against Big Tobacco Companys who market this addiction. If smoking leads to more sick days off, and we all know it makes you sick, why is it still legal? tax money. It all comes back to the almighty Dollar. Studies show more and more people in modern countries are stopping smoking. So where are the tobacco companies marketing thier products now? Africa and Sudan. Inappropriate

Hey Bear, I liked your post. Got me to really thinking. I don't think there is anyone who should smoke. I know there is alot of us addicted and alot who say they don't want to quit, but I don't think anyone really likes to smoke. It is very hard to stay disaplined enough to quit as you and I both know. I think that is the reason some people say its okay. Had to pop back in

Phil, Your making me think. a bad crave with almost a year down? Will we never learn that the junkie is never sleeping and will take advantage of any weakness. Life is full of problems and it was so easy to just smoke and think we felt better when in reality we know it did nothing to make us feel better. I'm glad you stayed strong and didn't listen to the demon. You should be very proud of yourself. I'm proud of you!!! Rewards, Nicotine, and the Brain

THANKS LADY, I am always glad to see you have posted. Seems like it is just what I need to hear. This was really a good one. How long do you think it will take our brains to reach a real normal? Normal reward center and normal dopamine release. I guess I'm always looking for how long when I already know it is day by day. Anyway keep those post coming.
