This is pathetic!

I am trying to be real positive here....I cannot do cardio workouts yet because I have COPD. Hello :gasp: after 34 years of smoking, I am lucky to be able to run to the mailbox and back (and that's when it is raining!) :gasp: I'm sorry. Sometimes I am such a drag! I wish I had quit sooner, ..but until a year ago, I really did not note a difference. I go next month for some further testing, I had an abnormal chest x-ray about a month ago. :( Not to worry---I will still be a B$%^#h and giving you hell! :)

Handling Emotions without Smoking

Thanks Jeani! I am trying to be as positive as possible, sometimes I fail at that! LOL. We all have so much to be grateful for and thankful for, even though it is hard to accept. It's a part of life...A part I am hopeful I will be here for. I want so much for my family and my husband to know just how much thay mean to me. I love them; and I love all of you...God Bless! :)

This is pathetic!

Oh, and BTW, I do have a double Jack and (diet) coke each and every night about this time---I NEVER drank before, this is my reward and sedative---I rather like it and...since I was a tee-totaler before, I certainly deserve it! :8|: Besides, between the alcohol and the patch (and wellbutrin)...I have some WEIRD dreams to be remembered for some time!!! :8o: Don't worry...I'm OK...You're OK............ :)

This is pathetic!

Okay, here is my typical day: B: Cottage cheese and a tomato (150 cal) S: Carrots and/or celery L: 200 to 300 calorie Healthy Choice or Lean Cuisine S: Lots and lots of sunflower seeds (about 250 cal) D: Another 200-300 calorie meal S: popcorn; apple; etc... Cardio is out for now (COPD), but I will work up to it. I walk a mile at lunch and a mile after dinner. In the mornings before work I swim as many laps as possible in our pool. Depends on a lot of things. Anyway...I just seem to be packing it on, despite the effort!

This is pathetic!

As a (slim) smoker, I (admitedly) was one of those smart-aleck people that inwardly made fun of fat people. Now I is one :( I have gained 20 lbs., but it certainly looks like more! I was determined that I was not going to gain weight with this quit. I walk 2 mi. a day and exercise. I am painfully aware of my daily caloric intake. With any other addiction abstinance is required---how can you do that with food? My dinner consisted of a 260 calorie Lean Cuisine (I took my little plastic tray into the other room so I could lick all the crevices clean---by golly, I wanted my FULL 260 calories!!!) My body has changed like never before. From someone that has had five kids, that is saying a lot. I may have had stretch marks that you could fall into and get lost, but atleast I wasn't FAT!! How do people SURVIVE on 1000-1500 calories? I need a fairy godmother with a magic wand to turn me slim again (Oh, but could I keep the bigger hooters, please?) Handling Emotions without Smoking

Dear Breaking Free's husband: If you really do log onto this site, I didn't mean it, I swear!
after you are truly secure in your quit, and you still don't like him, let us know and we will do some further planning
Breaking Free: A little advance warning before you go confessing to the enemy! ;p My Milage: My Quit Date: 5/23/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 67 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 3,381 Amount Saved: $536 Life Gained: Days: 6 Hrs: 23 Mins: 0 Seconds: 32

I really really can't cope..

You are no different than the rest of us! Go back and look at some of our own posts (including myself!) It wasn't but a few days ago that Breaking Free was contemplating domestic homocide :gasp: Since I have gained weight along with the quit and truly have no interest in cooking anymore (which I LOVE to do ordinarily) I have stocked up on the Healthy Choice and Lean Cuisine for myself. For the kids I buy frozen Banquet dinners or---better yet---Kid Cuisine. They can microwave it themselves and I am considered the BEST Mom cuz they love them. The only unhappy person is my husband. Right now he is running neck-to-neck with yours in popularity, so I really don't give a damn if he eats or not! :eg: Laugh it off----------otherwise we will spend the rest of our lives crying :( My Milage: My Quit Date: 5/23/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 67 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 3,381 Amount Saved: $536 Life Gained: Days: 6 Hrs: 22 Mins: 58 Seconds: 43
