What is wrong with me?

Vickers4, Start working through the program and challenging those anxious thoughts. If you're having trouble falling asleep, get up out of bed, distract yourself or do some light stretches and try again. Visualization techniques may also be helpful to you. Think of a place that is enjoyable for you and focus on it as you drift off to sleep. You may also find it helpful to dim the lights low and avoid television for an hour or two before bed to help cue your brain that it is time to sleep. Hope this helps. Yes, there IS a cure.

Angel, You've made great progress. Keep going. We all experience moments when we take a few steps back, this is normal. Know that you are not alone. Keep working through the program and bit by bit those periods where you are able to keep control over your anxiety may get longer and longer. Danielle ______________________ The PC Support Team

Doing good then BAM! A panic attack

Isabella, Take charge and grab hold of that anxiety. Rework the tools of the program and employ your relaxation techniques. Once your anxiety levels have become manageable than have a look back to see if you can identify a source. If not, what strategies will you employ next time this occurs? FREAKING OUT SEEMS DIFFERENT TO BEFORE - PLEASE REPLY

Jo, Has this symptom ever occurred before? If not, it may be related to your cold. Should it continue, persist or worsen consult your physician or other health care provider. Until then, try distracting yourself throughout the day and concentrate on bringing those anxiety levels back to a level that is manageable. Keep close, we will help see you through. strange agoraphobia

Tess, You are not a freak! Believe it or not this is a very common fear among women & men your age, especially if they are experiencing limitations in mobility or if they've ever fallen. Keep working with your psychiatrist and start your exposure work. It won't be easy but with a little perseverance you'll be able to regain control. We are cheering you on!
