Josie, we can't "go forth" AND have a PJ day! The whole point of a PJ day is NOT to "go forth"! LOL
I love PJ days and count it a reward also. My husband doesn't know what a day off is, and he wants to move move move all the time! So I take a PJ day when he's working and it works well!
Jan, I'm sure that negative thinking is sneaking in there somewhere. I can hear the "Yeah but" coming. Please turn it all around and celebrate your almost 60 days, OK? And if all else elicits a "ho hum", ice cream works wonders!

Someone told me (I think it was Mr Ed) that when we smoked we thought about smoking 24/7. And when we quit, maybe the first month it goes down to thinking of smoking 22/7, then 2 months and maybe we go down to 20/7, and so on. So by 6 months, you are still thinking a lot of smokes (we did it all the time, remember) but a lot less than 24/7 and sometimes not for many hours at a time. So celebrate the times you are not thinking of it, and say H*ll NO the other times the thought comes into your mind, and together we will get 'er done.

Since I know quite a bit about this topic and the symptoms, I agree that you are describing depression and depression does not go away because you want or desire it to. It does not mean you are "sick" or a "bad person", it simply means you may have a chemical imbalance in the brain, for which there are numerous meds that can and do make a difference in millions of peoples lives every day. You don't even have to tell anyone except the doctor. The fact is that smoking and depression are correlated and it can often mask the symptoms until you are quit for a period of time (say 60-90 days?). Even if you don't want to, I strongly encourage you to get checked by a doctor. Even GPs will do antidepressants now. Also, there is a sister site of this one, its "depression center.net" and they have a questionaire you can take just to see.
Please, do something besides smoke. That will just add addiction back into your life and make nothing better.
Hugs, N2 Psych/Denise

So glad you chose to ROCK on! Now you are on the cruise ship toward the beach! And you smell wonderful, too!
Yep, Terry, at 50 days everyone can join the cruise, and it drops us off at the BEACH at 100 days, How Cool Is That?
