let me show my numbers

Way to go, Carlos! I hope you have a marvelous reward planned for yourself! I won't even try to say anything in another language, English is tough enough to spell! So here's a one month cake! my quit date is tommorrow.. HELP

Hi R6, Welcome to the best darn support group you'll ever find anywhere. That said, I'd like you to take a deep breath, and then let it out. Now, think back to when you decided to quit, and you did DECIDE to quit, you made a positive decision for life, to live on your terms, and to breathe fresh air. So when the thought comes that it would be easier for you to buy a pack, remember that when you did buy a pack, all you could think about was quitting, and now you've done it! So hold onto your reasons for quitting, print them out and keep them near you for emergency reading material. Also do lots of reading on here, navigating around the site is pretty intuitive, just keep left clicking on stuff, you'll get the hang of it. Let us know how you are doing, I'm logged into the messenger for a little while if you need to talk. I am finding a new Doctor!

Oh golly, I laughed too, when I read your post! Sounds sooo much like some doctors I've worked with! They so need a life! My theory is that they went to college right out of High School, didn't socialize with anyone cuz they were studying and then they went to pre med, (no social life) then internship (no social life), then residency (definitely no social life), and pretty soon you have a really smart person who's now in their late 20s or early 30s, with NO social skills whatsoever! So we pity him, and CHEER you! YaaaaaaaaaaHooooooooooo! Go get another doctor, but pat yourself on the back, first. I'm 5'6 and I weigh 170 lbs, so don't even go there with 8 lbs! LOL Congratulations on a wonderful quit! I completely lost it today!

You know, there really are no right or wrong emotions, they just are. What we do and how we act with those emotions are what count. And we mostly are used to lighting a smoke INSTEAD of dealing with our emotions; I think most of us are quite good at "stuffing" our emotions. So it's not surprising that you would have a day feeling like this, but believe me, it does get better, and easier, to "say what you mean, and mean what you say, but don't say it mean". Believe me when I say I've been where you were today, but it will only make you stronger that you were able to get through it without a smoke. Just remember that when you were smoking, all you wanted to do was quit. Now you HAVE QUIT, so don't go backwards! Keep up the great work, don't kick yourself, and accept that sometimes you just feel lousy, but we don't have to smoke over it. OK?
