A newbie.

I'm new to this program, but not the hellish symptoms. I realize what these attacks are all about (meaning what they are) but I also feel that they come from a lot of past experiences...I am very hopeful that this program will help. I wonder though if therapy will do me better to deal with the past? I am also an alcoholic in recovery (2 years sober next month WOOHOO!) and know that a lot of anxiety comes from wreckage from that as well. Any thoughts? :confuse:[font=Stencil]

To sleep or not to sleep

Mother of God...if it were up to me I'd never leave my bed. Of course a great percentage of the time I lay there counting cracks in the ceiling. I work 12 hour overnight shifts, so my sleep schedule's a little screwy anyway, but I take awhile to fall asleep, and I rearely ever stay asleep. It's a hell of a thing. I'm on Lexapro currently, with the occasional Xanax. (That will usually help me nod off, in worst case scenarios.) Could it be from Lexapro?

Yoga!

Hey there! I have done different types of yoga in the past. There are a few types, some for weight loss, some for conditioning, relaxation, etc. I also know that there are plenty of DVD's that offer different ability levels to follow. And from my experience it's absolutely wonderful. I feel energized, limber and relaxed beyond anything I've ever felt. And it's not as intense as jumping around like a fool. It's very centered and can be spiritual as well. Nice way to clear your head, stretch your muscles and center your awareness! A good 'instructor' to look for is Rodney Yee. Good luck!!!

vomiting

Wow that's nutty! I thought I was the only one thats petrified to vomit! I get so scared if I'm nauseous!!! I want to cry and start to sweat. I need a support group when I vomit. I will fight it as hard as I can and am deathly afraid of stomach bugs. It is bizzare, isn't it?
