Hi Gemma,

I'm glad you decided to join and post. I'm also 25 and have been in and out of therapy for years for panic and social anxiety. I, too, really want to kick this to the curb once and for all and move on with my life! It is amazingly helpful to have others going through the same thing to talk to and bounce ideas off of, so I hope you will continue to post here. We're all here to support each other as we try to navigate through all this!

Best of luck,
Teebs

Hello Gemma,

My name is Red.  I am glad to see you have taken the first step and joined the program and support group.  This takes a lot of courage and you are on the right track.  Once you start working the program things will become clearer and you will have the tools you need to move forward and get well.  There is also a sister site called the depression center which is very helpful. You will find the link to it at the top of the page under More Help, if you are interested.  I have found both sites very helpful myself.  I look forward to hearing more from you in the future.

Hello danceforthesky,

I really like the nickname you chose! Thank you for sharing your story and welcome to our online support community. There are many people within this support group that share the same questions and concerns as you.  We are all a group of individuals who support each other.

If you look to the left of the screen under "TOOLS" you will find many supportive tests.  These tests are not diagnostic tools and are not a replacement or substitute for a physician's advice. The purpose of these tests is to prepare you with information that you can present to your physician. When you're finished the test, you can either print your Final Report or email it directly to your doctor.

We also have developed a Panic Program.  This program is 12-weeks and involves the tools mentioned above.  Each session is based on the previous session, so we strongly advise that you work slowly through the program and not jump ahead.

These tests may or may not be for you but they are "free".  If you have any question or concerns with our “TOOLS”, you can contact us at support@paniccenter.net.  We are the Support Specialist for The Panic Center and are open to any questions or concerns you may have.

Please continue to strive forward and lean on us for support.  In regards to the way the posts are ordered, unfortunately that is the way they are displayed.

Hi,

I just really wanted to try and say hello. My name is Gemma & i'm 25 years old. Been in and out of therapy for social anxiety disorder and an eating disorder for the past 7 years. I've been struggling in and out of education trying to get life back on track, and recently occupational therapy and groups, but everythings gets too much and i can't keep up and things end up falling apart again. I signed up yesterday after seeing this site, i really wanted to kick start life again, kick both depression and anxiety to the curb and try to get better and since therapy for me is over soon - time limits used up - and we have strayed from CBT to talk based therapy i thought i'd try my best and get back into this on my own.

I just wish i didn't feel so trapped in this, if i try and work on one issue - say the anxiety - the negative coping mechanisms get tighter, and if i try and tackle the eating disorder or self harm issues, the only way i do better is if i iscolate from people more so.  Feels hopeless, but hoping working through it all a step at a time will help me to move forward ultimatley.
Trying not to reread this or recheck this, is so darn difficult. But i wanted to try and say hello today in any case. And hope everyone is doing okay today

Also I know this might sound like a strange question, but is there also a way to change the post order from bottom to top back to a usual top to bottom, i don't understand why it's making me nervous.. and i can't seem to find an option for it.

~ Gemma
