Venting

Davit and Red,
I hear ya!  Those negative thoughts are so easy to get wrapped up in.  I have a TON of things I need to be doing right now, but here I sit instead.  I feel time ticking away, but can't get motivated (I have to get out for one more medical test and I'm obviously not looking forward to it).
I love how you both are challenging the negatives (as evident in your posts).  I think that is key, so I'll try and do the same.  Here's one: it's raining right now, so I know that my grass and trees are getting some good watering! LOL

Davit,
Hang in there and keep challenging those negative thoughts.  I do hear some positive thoughts here.  Like the trees are blooming and that is going to be a nice day weather wise.  I do see how it can be hard to stay up beat when your muscles all hurt.  I also have a hard time because of my disabilities.  I have been trying to quit the nicotine did pretty good for 46 hrs and them blew it.  I do find all the political news very irritating. I don't usually watch the news. Well tomorrow is another day it should be better than today. As long as I don't watch the news.  Another day to try and succeed at something.  We do get another shot at it.
Still challenging my anxious and negative thoughts,

Lucid

When something breaks and I have to take the time to fix it instead of doing what I want to I get grumpy. It is nothing but it doesn't help when I forget to open the green house and cook some plants. I think I can buy replacements if not I will plant something else in there place. No big deal. Trees are flowering. I'm glad I don't have allergies.(fruit trees) It would be better if I had a reason to do any of this other than weed control. Do you see the negative sneaking in on me. I have to stop this right now or I will be back where I was. It tried to rain today but not enough so It is going to be another nice day but I will have to take the time to get the pump hooked to the pond so I can water. A garden this size takes more water than my well can supply. I am going to summer fallow some of it this year because I just don't need it. Second biggest problem I have is all these muscles that haven't been used in so long. Hard to get mobile when it hurts. But the biggest problem is still initiative. When I lost the panic I lost the excuse to do nothing.
Thank you for your concern, hope your day is going well.

Aw, Davit, sorry to hear that you're feeling grumpy.
It sucks when you can't get done what you want to.  But, think of all the little things that you DID get done.  Even if it's stopping to enjoy the weather for a bit!
Are you feeling better?  You've had a rough go of it lately, but it'll get better.  Then you'll be back at it!

That's a great idea Davit!  I think it would be great if you started a just say hi thread!

I will still read them, no matter how disturbing they may be, That is what I am for, so you have some one to vent to. Do not worry there is nothing you can vent about that would disturb me. I may even have been there and done that. I have been grumpy lately because I can't get as much done as I want to. And some things have gone wrong. But that is just life.

We could use a "just to say Hi thread" also so old and new can just say hi. I would love to say Hi to some of the past members and welcome new ones.

Red,

I think this is a great idea.  Having a postive support group is very important.  You are right, reading about negative issues can bring you down.  Trying to be postiive in your posts helps create a positive community.  However, we all need to vent.  Having a place where we can talk about are frustrations is a great idea!

Good thinking Red!

I thought I would start this tread so that everyone has a place to vent.  My idea is that we can vent under this thread and other members will know we are venting and will have the choice weather they want to read it or not.  It will not be a surprise that shows up unexpectedly.  I really don't like seeing a thread titled having a crappy day. I could be feeling good and positive and for some reason reading that title changes my mood and I start  feeling negative.  I was wondering how everyone else felt about a thread titled Venting where everyone can do their venting if they want to?? I have seen this used on other web sites and it seems to work well.  What are your thoughts and ideas on this??
