Krissy,

Welcome to the boards and thank you for sharing your story with us. Take some time to explore the site and the resources available here. Many members report the sessions and weekly homework useful as they begin to manage their emotions. You mentioned that you have tried therapy in the past. What about this therapy was not helpful? What did it teach you that you would like to try again?

Members, has anyone experienced what Krissy has mentioned about worrying about the location of the bathroom? What kinds of tips or strategies can you offer that would help Krissy cope?

Hello.  I'm new to this site.  I've been experiencing anxiety for a few years now.  I tried medication which didn't work for me and some therapy.  I was doing well but then over the past 3 months things have been worse than ever before and I don't know why.  I have anxiety mixed with some OCD components.  I guess you could say that I always feel the need to be by a washroom.  When I go someplace new the first thing I have to find is a washroom as a "just in case" precaution.  I need to use the washroom before I leave the house or anywhere for the matter.  I get really bad anxiety while I'm in a car or any form of transportation because I'm not near a washroom.  I don't even feel the need to actually go but just knowing that one isn't close sets me off.  Right now I'm working on some exposure excercises and it's helping.  I have a very supportive and understanding boyfriend who's helping me through all this.  Any feedback would be appreciated!
