Hey Caden,
Letting go is easier then it seems. Stop all thought processes, do something not related to the subject, whatever takes your focus really. It is a trait I worked at, that comes much more naturally now...my big helper was thought stopping. Which is exactly as it sounds, if you start thinking more and more about something and worrying, it's not like that will help, so I just focused on stopping my thoughts altogether.
The courses will be great, so long as I get out to challenge myself I'll be good.
I know what it feels like to want to chuck it all. I wanted to chuck so much, I felt like the woodchuck in that nursery rhyme "How much wood, could a woodchuck chuck..." Well, do you know what you love? What type of person you want to be, or traits you like in people? Work on the things you want, chuck the rest.
Easier said then done, but anything good is worth throwing your hope into.
Cheers!
