Ok, well I lived through my finals lol. I finally am done till September. But now comes the birthday party issues. Situation 1: Saturday evening there is a huge gathering at a busy Chinese restaurant for my step-dad's mother who turns 80. Now he wants me there because he wants to show off his family (which I think is really sweet of him). So I said yes. Which means now I have to show up in a busy restaurant where 99% of the food will give me a migraine (don't know why but Chinese gives me migraines) and I will be surrounded by mostly strangers who will be travelling in large packs! Now, this is not my most beloved situation by far. So if any of you have any advice about Saturday and how to deal with a situation like that please let me know! Ok now for situation 2: On Sunday, there is my dad's B-day. Now that means I have to go to his house. Now that in itself is not so bad he has a pretty house and it is not far enough from mine to freak me out. The problem is that the Wicked Witch of the West (a.k.a his wife, my step-mom) will be there. She likes to use me as an emotional punching bag. She was not physically abusive or anything but verbally and emotionally she was. When I am around her it is like I am 8 again. Sometimes just the thought of her makes me panic. Now, I am trying hard to challenge my thoughts about how she makes me feel and the amount of power she really has over me, I am hoping that will help. But I wouldn't mind any other advice on how to deal with this situation. I am not fond of going on Sunday but my dad is sick and he wants me there and it makes it very difficult to say no. So here it is I finish my school session and now I have a very full weekend lol but on Monday I am resting. I am going to act so lazy my cat will be impressed by my capacity to out-lazy him (and he is laaaaaaaazy!)Lol anyway, if anyone has any advice for one or both of those situations please let me know :) -Diva
