Hi Jazz............

Long time no see.  hope you are well.

I heard they were considering this in the USA, too.  Don't know if it is passed here yet.

  I like it.

I don't know if this law is enforceable BUT , if it makes smokers stop and think that they could be hurting their own children and others I don't think anyone in their right mind would do it. I wouldn't do that to an animal now. $250.00 isn't enough. breather 72 Addict 0

I support this VERY strongly.   I'm hoping all these strategies will eventually make smoking a thing of the past.

Great news - effective today, the province of Ontario has made it illegal to smoke in a vehicle with a child aged 16 years and under.  Here is a quote from the National Post:

Drivers lighting up with little ones in the car will now face a fine, as the Smoke-Free Ontario Amendment Act 2008 makes smoking in any motor vehicle illegal when passengers under the age of 16 are present.  The fine will be up to a maximum of $250, according to the legislation.

I have no idea how they're going to enforce this, but I sure support it.  I probably would have opposed it a year ago, but that was then and this is now. Thank goodness I'm smoke-free!
