Hi Neen.  Congratulations on your quit!  You're doing awesome!  And no, you're not weird at all - I think a lot of us think that way - I know I did!  My hubby always said that the day he quits smoking he'd probably get run over by a cigarette delivery truck - talk about morbid!!  But....he quit in January with me and hasn't been run over yet!!

That is fantastic!!  Congrats!  That's always been a fear of mine, figured if I quit smoking, I'd get sick with something else - always kinda figured if I was killing myself with cigs that nothing else bad would happen to me.  I know, I'm weird, and very unrealistic!!

I am VERY happy for you though!  You need to celebrate!

I am so fortunate, I feel guilty.  A couple of months ago, I had an appt. with my doc.  Except for a bout of pneumonia a couple of years ago, I haven’t been to a doctor in 8 years. He did a full workup of chest x-rays, blood work, etc.

My follow-up appt was yesterday, and everything came back normal. I couldn’t believe it.  I was especially concerned about the chest x-ray after abusing myself by smoking for 31 years, but he said everything was good.  His comment was “Congratulations, you’re in excellent health”.

So far I’m one of the lucky ones. Touch wood.
