Hi new me! I'm a chantix user too. It took me 5 weeks of being on chantix before I got the nerve to actually quit smoking. I had not found this site yet at that point. After I finally did quit, I continued to take two a day for 8 more weeks (13 weeks total)and then went to one a day and I'm doing great! I plan to take one a day through the holidays and then try every other day, and see hoe it goes. There is a great thread that I believe is called "weaning off chantix". I've never bumped a thread before, but I'm going to try to do it for you. If it doesn't work, try using the search function and you will find more info on this subject. Great job on your quit! I was laughing to myself when i woke up. I had a dream that I was stuck somewhere overnight and did not have my next dose of chantix! geez! I am on my 5th week of chantix..no nicotine lozenges, gum, patches or any form of nicotine. The chantix seems to help me stay calm, although, I do get tired in the evenings. (and have colorful dreams). I am so thankful to be moving further and further away from the NRT...all on the journey to true freedom. When did some of you go to one pill a day instead of 2? I would be interested to know. No smoking and have a great day. new me My Milage: My Quit Date: 5/26/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 204 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 4,896 Amount Saved: $1,020.00 Life Gained: Days: 28 Hrs: 3 Mins: 27 Seconds: 29
