Thank you Anna, I think I will. I lived here for the first month! I saw your thread the other day and was quite pleased. Hi Changing! Gosh, I know what you feel like then. Yes, I am marketable, but the flexibility it offers is soooooo great. I did speak up! and he took it all in and agreed in the end. He's still difficult though. I have my eyes open. Boy, I would love to be fired but it's just not in my nature! But if messes up one more time.........;) I hope things improve for you too, it's nice to see ya again. Thank you BJ! You should post more often (I'm going to stick around more now - I've cut back to 20-25 hours weekly, phew). Kids - they change you don't they. Yes, I feel she recovers so much more quickly and the guilt I have for smoking round her for 4 years, gosh. But, that said, I grew up with an astray in the bedroom! Hi Interesting, great to hear back from you too. We're so close to 3 months - it feels great! I never thought we'ld be so close. I've been looking for Aunt Deb, New Papa, a few of the old timers too. I'm glad you're still going so strong - you're so funny too. Well, thanks for indulging me. Now off to check out the Jan thread and spur on the newbies ;) Marie

Hey Freedom, Nice to see your post. I haven't been here nearly as much, and usually don't post, but stop by and read. There are all these new names, and I don't see comments from some of the old ones. Did I call us old at 80 days? Yes, I think I did! Good for you on your no smoking and also on your work decision. Isn't it funny how much stronger we get when we don't smoke anymore? Keep us posted on the outcome! Again... good to see you here! Hi freedom!! Our quit dates are the same and although I don't get on SSC as often as I would like I must admit that I have secretly tried to keep tabs on you!! I guess it was nice watching the progress of someone who quit the same time as myself, almost comforting. I did notice yuo had kinda "disappeared" for a bit and didn wonder if you slipped back into the evils of smoking. So glad to hear you didn't but am so sorry for what you are going through otherwise. I know how crazy it can be taking care of little ones, I've got 3 girls myself, 11, 5 and 7 months old. I would be feeling the same way you are right now if anyone EVER doubted me especially when it had anything to do with my children, and being ill at that. I just wanted to let you know that I've got your back, and I can say that if I were in your situation I would ABSOLUTELY tell him where he could STICK IT!!! Permission granted to let this dude know you are worth SO much more!! How is your little one feeling now?? Did you notice her get better a bit faster now that you are smoke free and she isn't exposed to the second hand smoke from you or your clothing?? I notice it with my girls!! Nice to read from you, good luck and take care Chow!! Freedom - Congratulations - your stats are very impressive and very inspiring to those of us who follow in your footsteps! Now, as for your job/boss...is this the only job you can get? With your experience & work ethic, I would think that there are many other work opportunities available to you?! So, my advice is to advocate for yourself, and if your boss doesn't like it, he can fire you and you'll have the safety blanket of unemployment checks while you look for a new job! If you quit, you don't qualify for unemployment. If money isn't an issue, then you shouldn't be putting up with this abuse anyway! I know this isn't easy, and in fact I'm in a very similar situation, so I feel for you and should be taking my own advice! ;) Keep us posted! Hi friends new and old (well, older ;) ). I've missed you. I'm doing well - I feel great about this quit. I've had no substantial cravings (am aware than one may grab me by the throat and that little devil may sit on my shoulder urging me on at any moment though). A small update and some steps forward.........My husband (also still quit) and I had a nice brawl and I said "I'll show him, I'll go buy some cigs, smoke them and the argument will just go away". I came close but I didn't! It felt good to say "that's just plain stupid". I walked through a bunch of people smoking outside the Mall in 20 degree farenheit snow/ice weather and felt good to be rushing by to my car without an urge - that was a big moment. My cousin is here from Ireland and smokes, again, it feels good to say "no thanks, I don't smoke". As for my crazy, crazy, work schedule. I'm a bookkeeper for a very difficult venture capitalist (a bit much info), in any event, the man is getting 3 employees in one body. Unfortunately, while in the midst of an audit, my child got very sick and I was unavailable to work (that was the terms of the job - a VERY flexible schedule for low wages :( but worth the cut in pay). Anyhow, because I was absent due to my daughter, my boss thought it wise to "relay to me that the auditors thought I may have something to hide and that he's diffused the situation"..........well without boring you all even more, I've given this person 1.5 years of incredibly hard work - he gets from me in 2 days what would take some 1 week to complete. After the third month of hours in excess of 50 plus weekly, I've pretty much told him what I think of him (I am hurt that the comment was even passed to me - I'm home with blank signed checks to keep his business going and $$$$ in the bank for 1.5 years now - if I were going to hide something, I'ld be long gone by now). Speaking of which, I may be quitting tomorrow. My child goes to kindergarten in the Fall - life is too short, I've lost one too many loved ones to NOT realise that there's more to life than money. Sure, it'll hurt, but there's always another job. So spur me on to give it to him if he doesn't see the boundry he overstepped - I can take alot but do not call into question my integrity. Also, this old body can'
