Today was a dental day and everything went well. I have a return visit in 2 weeks to get my crowns and some possible laser gum work and if that goes fine than I will be done for a while, if not we may have to sent me to a periodontist for some additional work..The dentist is hopeful all will turn out fine but felt he needed to let me know all the possible scenario's. I trust and respect him for that..He is one of the Good Guys..
So it looks like I am getting closer to going on another camping trip soon...I have camping reservations for Christmas but in hoping to get in some time camping in the desert before that..Camping in a travel trailer that is..I am dieing to get away from the city..No cell Phone connection, no Internet, no house phone, and no tv.. May some satellite radio but that is ok..
To the best of my knowledge Sunny is happy with her family around her. We did have a good visit, and I'm sure she stayed longer than planned. The mountains can do that to a person.
loves trees.
The cat picture catches the essence of Thomas who in the world of cats was definitely an orange. A very interested cat in his surroundings. Compassionate yet still independent. He might have got it from me. We did spend 18 years together.
It takes time to change but I feel any amount of time is worth it.
Your posts make complete sense to me. I felt reassured that you said it takes time. I think that with time, I am pretty sure I am on my way to being amused or bemused instead of frustrated with apples and the world around me much of the time. It is all pretty new. I don't know about other people, but I tend to want new changes to establish themselves within me quickly. I have worked so hard with myself the last 5 years to become happier and healthier and more at peace. This newest change is in really detaching from trying to get apples to like me.
I really love the new picture that Sunny sent. It is unique and vibrant and interesting to look at. Really cool.
I was using a saline spray last year, and have that option. I just saw my dentist, and had mouth sores, and he would have noticed the thrush, so I guess it's just the deviated septum.
Today I'm trying to remove the bigger rocks and level a piece of ground where I park the tractor in winter. It is difficult but funny also because by only being able to see out of one eye I have no depth perception. I'll have to do it again after the cataracts are fixed.
Dreary and raining today. I'm surprised my tom cat doesn't mind it. I bet he will sleep good tonight.
Tomorrow won't be any warmer but it will be drier so I think I'll make a cake today and finish raking that spot tomorrow.
Toasty warm in here with the fire going. I'm raising up the area where the tractor I use in winter is parked so the melting snow in spring won't run under it and make it slippery when it freezes at night. Falling down when you live alone is not good. If I'm lucky my neighbour will remove my snow for me like last year. If I'm smart too I'll stock pile so I don't have to go out too often. If I had enough money and data flow I could get net flicks and be set for winter. Hot chocolate, apple pie and a good movie. Hibernate till spring. Wishful thinking.
Tomorrow I get my winter tires put on. It could start snowing any time now. Some areas between here and the city get snow long before I do. There could be black ice or freezing rain too. Better to be safe.
Driving with poor vision and no depth perception will not make it any easier.
Did you have an optometrist look at your tear ducts, or an ophthalmologist? My parent had her opthamologist check hers.
I'm asking since an optometrist is easier to see than the opthamologist, but it takes nimble hands, and there might even be a risk, since I think you have to slide a thin wire into the duct.
