The program

I've been in the program for longer than 12 weeks and Im at the section right before simulating panic... I don't know if Im ready for all of that quite yet. But if you read my posts from when I 1st started I have made TREMENDOUS steps towards being better. Ask Davit LOL

I think it's completely up to you how you wanna handle the program. Coming here and admitting that there's a "glitch" in your system somewhere is probably the best step you can take. Commit to getting better & find what works for you to accomplish your goals. You'll love the results

Hi again!

Jus wanted to give y'all an update: I got a clean bill of health from the cardiologist! My heart is functioning properly and has no abnormalities. My cholesterol is good also. What a WEIGHT of my mind!!!

And so now my anxiety has improved even more. It is MUCH easier to tell myself that it's anxiety when my heart starts to race or I have a flutter. (The cardiologist even SAID flutters are kinda normal ) all those ppl that kept telling me to go the cardiologist and I didn't wanna listen... my bad . It was $150, but it was worth it.

Music and your body

I have some happy songs (as I like to call them).

1). "Get What You Give" by The New Radicals; I just love the beat and how carefree he sounds. And it reminds me of one of my best friends that I ALWAYS have a good time with.

2). "Happy" by Natasha Bedingfield - it's just a good song with a good positive message

3). "At Last" by Etta James - it's my favorite song in the world, hands down.

4). "Paul Revere" by Beastie Boys - LOVE LOVE it; ALWAYS puts me in a good mood

If I think of some more, I'll update

Hello

Jus wanted to say hi to everyone - I had a small panic attack Sat night (well, small compared to how they used to be). Normally, it takes at least an hour to calm myself down. But since I've been to the cardiologist and got a clean bill of health, it was easier to rationalize it out in my mind that it was panic making my heart race. And that all the other weird symptoms were all panic related. Took about 10-15 and I was asleep. It was GREAT!

morning

Hi Jimmy

I was the opposite of you. Panic was only at night, right before bed. I realized that it was happening bcuz I had my 1st attack at night in bed. Then I kept having them bcuz I was overly worried about having them (my book calls it "precipitant anxiety" or something like that). And I never sleep thru the night (haven't in YEARS and has nothing to do with the panic/anxiety) so when I'd wake up, they'd start all over again. Not only THAT, they'd come in waves, so I'd be in a constant state of frenzy and terror for like 3 hours at a time. I was a hot mess lol

But after realizing what was going on and making proactive steps to help myself, it's gotten easier to deal with. Yes, I do still have "attacks", but they are relatively small compared to how I was in the beginning and easier to prevent from going into full blown panic attacks. I had to re-train my brain.

GO me :)

Hi all!

Jus wanted to post and let everyone know that Im doing well. I still have minor twinges of panic but (as a smart man named Davit told me ) when they come, I say, "Aw Hell" and smile it off. Once I learned to change my thought process and realize what is going on, it has been like a breath of fresh air. Course going to the cardiologist helped tremendously

And so did this website and EVERYONE who gave me advice. Thank each and every one of you

I wish I could get on here more but my computer at home has been on the fritz for like a month now. I will do my best to keep in touch until it gets fixed.

Miracles and blessings to you all!

Hey all! Haven't been here in a while! Jus wanted to say hello and let everyone know that Im doing well. I had a panic attack a few night ago that was pretty bad, well worse than the little ones I usually have. But I knew it was bcuz the anniversary of my dad's death is coming up (on Mon, the 24th) and his b-day was y'day (he would've been 61). I read a few pages in my book and put on a meditation podcast on my IPod and was out like a light

Hope all is well with everyone!
