Please Please help

Evening all!

I too have noticed I have more acidity in my throat lately. Seems like I have heartburn more than normal. But I started paying attention to the things I ate/drank that caused it. Orange juice & anything with tomato sauce (which makes me REAL sad bcuz Im REALLY not trying to give up lasagna LOL) are my main sources. So I try to cut the intake down. And I cannot do the 2 pillow thing bcuz it causes me to wake up with a crick in my neck.

Exposure Work with NIght-time Anxiety

Ok, so here's my question... I usually have anxiety when I try to go sleep in my gf's bed. So Im wondering how to do exposure work when Im trying to go to sleep. I can't monitor my anxiety & sleep at the same time LOL Any suggestions?

Another thing Im gonna hafta deal with is that my gf & I are about to move in together. We got a whole new set of mattresses (queen instead of her full size bed) BUT Im gonna hafta be alone in the new place for a week from Jan 4th-10th!

Exposure Work with NIght-time Anxiety

So last night was the 1st night in the new place. I was a li'l anxious when I went to get in bed. But I did a li'l box breathing & said some good mantras & got thru it... The only thing that actually DID keep me up were my gf's cats playing in the cabinets LOL

Afternoon All :)

My gf gets REAL irritated when she sees me on WebMD trying to self-diagnose. Im already a hypochondriac as it is, so that web site is NOT good for me at all LOL Instead of me worrying about having a heart attack, it's now worrying about having a stroke. It's a mess

Newbie

Ok, so I made a big step today. I went to a cardiologist. The initial EKG was good - no silent heart attacks and no blood pressure problems I have to go back Fri for an echo cardiogram (or whatever they're called) and then again on Mon for a follow-up to discuss the results... But I can honestly say it has already relieved me a great deal

Hi All!

I've been good. Jus really busy with the move & work. But I finally bit the bullet & decided to go the cardiologist. I thought the EKG was way more involved than what it was LOL And I did NOT enjoy the drawing of the blood bcuz I have very small veins in my arms and they usually hafta draw it from my hand. EEK! But the phlebotomist was good and found a vein :)

I also told the dr about my constant cold feet... He said I need to quit smoking, which of course, I knew. And that I need to exercise, which I also already knew. So Im thinking Imma try to do it in baby steps LOL

New here

Hi Tin,

I actually told my mom about it. She suffers from them and has been for YEARS. But she is a very religious woman and does a lot praying to get thru hers. I have told my family & closest friends about it and some of them have mentioned that they sometimes have a hard time with anxiety depending on the situation... It helps to know you're not as alone as it may feel at times :)
