Lexapro seems to be making me worse.

Hi, this is my first post as well, but I have 3 years of experience with Lexapro under my belt, and I have started on it 3 times. Each time I experienced the worst panic attacks I had ever had. The first time I went on it my pdoc told me to expect this, and the first two times I was in close proximity to xanax which I dissolved under my tongue (works faster, tastes gross). Eventually it did go away and I was completely panic free no matter what I did. This pdoc told me to take a low dosage right after breakfast and that was supposed to help...but I noticed no difference.

Have a question about Panic or Anxiety?

Sorry if this is awkward, but when I get on the verge or into a panic attack, my intestines go nuts. Ever since I was young whenever I got a panic attack I would run to the bathroom..and it's very bizarre and scary because, what if there isn't one around? I remember before the SAT's I had to pee like 10 times, and my stomach would growl, which would make me more anxious. I tried taking tums and such, but that barely changed anything. :(

Does anyone like LEXAPRO?

I like Lexapro. I started on 5mg but increased to 10mg. I also increased to 20mg but I couldn't tell a difference except for the side effects so I dropped back down to 10.

Caffeine and anxiety

My first pdoc told me to cut caffeine out of my diet completely because it would increase my chances of getting a panic attack. It did work, but I started drinking caffeinated things again. I have been cutting down lately though and I'de like to continue it.
