It has been a year since I gave up smoking. Back when I was smoking I enjoyed smoking... I would smoke to celebrate, to relax, in stressful situation... smoking was my escape... a hobby if you will. If you were to find my first posts here you would see that I was scared to quit smoking. I didn't know if I knew how to be a non-smoker. A year later I am a non-smoker and feel great!!! Quitting smoking is the BEST decision that I ever made for myself. Over the past year I have made many changes in my life. To quit something like smoking takes lifestyle changes. So, for my 1 year reward I wanted to find something that would kinda fit into that... I have never really had many hobbies. I read some, I watch tv some and I am a gamer...Yes, 34 years old and own my own XBOX 360 and game online with friends. Now, when I first quit smoking I couldn't really sit down and game like before because I always smoked more while gaming! After a year I can now sit and game as long as I want and not have to take breaks to go outside to smoke... how awesome is that!!! Well, it came to mind that I gave up a "hobby" so I should find another hobby... AND, I did!!! Something I never would have thought I would enjoy and something that people who know me can't picture me doing! Something that keeps me active and outdoors! I still enjoy my gaming and always will.... But this is my reward for my hard work! So, what is it? Target shooting, yep you heard me right!!! My kids and boyfriend and I hike to a spot in the woods with cans and targets and spend a wonderful day in the woods... the kids with their BB guns (they aren't old enough for anything else yet)... and my boyfriend and I with our reward for 1 year no smoking (we each got our own and they are different)!!! So, I am going to tell you my reward... it is a 22 rifle.. but to me it is more than that... it is a reward for the hardest thing I have ever done !!
