Are these patches generic or brand name? Just curious. I never had trouble with them on my butt. I didn't use them this time....but I have in the past. Did you try the butt? I know I'm on day 1 (today will be 2) but the first time I had the patch and it worked well, I just quit using it on my own, but anyway....I had the same problems. Like Phil suggested, your bottom is a good place but it didn't work well enough for me there, The Dr said it's more effective for some people on your upper body, but I did find that the middle of my shoulder blades is a great spot. Your skin doesn't tend to stretch it off and clothing doesn't rub it too much either. Doodles, As mentionned, when you step off the patch suddenly, your body has to adjust from the last level of nicotine. Sorry to hear you had a bad day but be patient with the program and use this time to start developing new coping skills for craves and triggers. Practice makes perfect! doodles, Bobbi here, I did the whole program of patches and worked great for me. I also keep some extra 7 mg on hand just in case, I know they say not to put more nic into your body but I will do that if need be, as I will never smoke again! I will do whatever it takes to never smoke! to get patches to stick I got advice to rub spot with alcohol let dry then apply patch and sure worked for me. Hope this helped. hugs prayers pixie dust Bobbi My Milage: My Quit Date: 3/27/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 140 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 4,200 Amount Saved: $350.00 Life Gained: Days: 20 Hrs: 11 Mins: 31 Seconds: 27

doodles, I can't tell you what to do, that's what I have kids for! I can tell you that the 2 longest quits I had , including this one, I used the patch & followed the program to the letter. Stopping early or only using them once in awhile or whatever just allows more excuses & room for the junkie to squeeze in. Just my experience.
