Machiavelli,

You have had some great support and tips from fellow members. Like ornioco said, focus on the days. One day at a time, at times even one hour at a time. We are all here for you supporting you through this and are rooting for you! Like Rock suggested, use this site as a tool to help get through the so called "relapse traps".

We are here for you, and we will help make this stick!

Mach, you know we are all here for you.  Grab a hand if you need help!  And yes, please post before you have any urges to smoke.  Wait for 5 responses before you act on anything because at that point the craving will be gone.  I also went cold turkey.  While the first week or so was tough, the nicotine was quickly out of my system and I was able to adjust to being smoke free pretty quick!  You can do this!

Take it one day at a time Machiavelli! Its a bit like the old British maxim "Look after the pennies and the pounds will look after themselves" - if you just focus on the days, the weeks and months will soon add up for you. The cash saved will add up as well, so will your life expectancy - a win win situation however you look at it!

Very best of luck to you,

Steve

I'll work hard to make this Goal come true "6 smoke free months",I'll act different this time.
And I'll post before I smoke.
