New RE-Quitter

Hi, everyone. Just quit again for the 4th time. Previously by countdown or cold turkey method. This time I did auriculotherapy. The cravings are still there, but much less intense. The only drawbacks so far are irritability and a couple poor nights sleep, but I'm sure that too will pass.

Congratulations to you for quitting smoking and welcome!!! Irritability is very common the first few weeks. Lord knows my poor family had to deal with my emotional roller coaster daily the first couple of weeks, but it does get better. If you get frusted and irritated, just take a moment, breathe deep and just remember, it will get better. You will have to work a little on coping techniques for stress...so nobody get's hurt...otherwise I have to help you hide the bodies. ;) Kaiti My Milage: My Quit Date: 11/7/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 62 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 1,373 Amount Saved: $341 Life Gained: Days: 5 Hrs: 15 Mins: 15 Seconds: 21

Hey Bluesfan, Congratulations on your decision and here is the Talking Horse's attempt at the blues. I woke up this mornin' Went back to sleep again Said I woke up this mornin' Went back to sleep again I hear that Ol' Nic calling But he was callin' in vain That Nicodemon was sayin' "Come downstairs for a smoke" Oh yes that Nicodemon was sayin' "Come downstairs for a smoke" I said "I heard of you on the SSC And we all know that you're a joke" I promise that I won't give up my day job... Welcome bluesfan - Stay close to this site and spend as much time as possible reading old posts... well and new ones :) This is the time to build coping skills and create some distractions to have on hand in the tougher times... See if you can find some clarity regarding why your other quits were not successful AND why this one will be, dear one... Your desire to quit must be stronger than your desire to light up - if you have that commitment - just hold on tight, stay close and post often.
