Shari......you really are doing so well! I'm going to store that analogy in my mind for future use!
Thanks

Shari

And that is just the thing. You will always carry both buckets no matter how well you get and it will always be your decision which bucket to use. I think though that it is your decision how much gas is in that bucket.

Your friend
Davit.

PS. You really are putting a lot of thought into this. I'm impressed.

Since this thread is titled, "Tip of the Day", I'll post the tip here.

There are fires in life.  The fires can be anxiety, anger, unforgiveness.  We carry two buckets with us.  One is filled with gasoline and the other is filled with water.  We can choose to throw gasoline on the fire and make it worse (negative thoughts).  Or, we can throw water on it and put the fire out (positive self talk).  Some times it takes awhile to put out a forest fire.  But, using enough buckets of water will eventually extinguish even the worst wild fire.

There are just too many blessings to list them all.  My most recent ones I am grateful for is this program and for all of the friends on this support group.

That I have someone to share my life with
That all our children are ok
That I have a home to live in
That I live in a free country
That I can relax and let myself enjoy life
That Ashley is back to help us find our way
That I have this program and support group
That I am alive

I would get sore fingers typing, I have so much to be grateful for. The biggest is my newfound freedom. I'm sure it shows.

Members,

Start a gratitude journal.  This tip can help you appreciate the little things in life while developing positive thinking patterns.  Focus on the positive things that you have and not the things you do not.

What would you add to your gratitude journal?
