Hi Silvana,

The stress plan is an exercise for you to create for yourself. As indicated in Breanne's post, think of 2 healthy ways to deal with each of the categories listed. For each activity, mark on a scale of 1-10 the level of relaxation or stress relief that this provides for you.

This exercise is to help you plan and prepare for stressful episodes in the future where you can refer to your stress plan to help you cope better.

Please let us know if you are still unsure how to work on your plan. Also, share your ideas here with other members!

Members,

Stress is a normal part of everyone's life and there are healthy ways of dealing with it. You can change or avoid the sources of stress. You can change the way that you respond to stress and you can learn to relax by utilizing your stress plan!

Last week we began formulating a stress plan. Today, we will be talking about coping. It generally falls into five categories:

  • Physical
  • Mental
  • Social
  • Diversions
  • Spiritual

Pick 2 for each category and rank on a scale of 1-10 the level of relaxation/stress relief this activity provides for you.

The next time your stressor rears its ugly head, rate the level of stress you are experiencing and pick the corresponding numbered coping strategy.

Have fun! Don’t be afraid to list the items you’ve chosen for your categories, may help another stressed quitter!
