Ashley - thanks for the reminder.  Taking moments like those is a special gift to me.  It helps so much with my anxiety to be "in the moment".  My worries always lie in the future or in regret about the past.  When I take a moment like you've described, it is a wonderful feeling of peace.  It really is something I should add to my calendar.  It's a wonderful prescription for relaxation.

Ashley,
I felt relief that I'm not caught up in the frenzy.  I also miss not being caught up, since part of the reason is that I'm more isolated than I used to be.

I thought of going to the airport or a busy mall to feel the pulse of others, since I'm feeling cut off.

I suppose I could lose my serenity that way

However you are feeling right now during this busy holiday season stop and take a deep breath…

Look around, be present to the air, your surroundings and how you feel emotionally and physically.  Whether you are feeling good or bad; don’t just rush to the next thing. Take a few minutes just to be…

How did that feel?

What did you notice?
