Exposure for riding in elevators

I'm sorry I missed this. I guess I should be more clear about myself also: I don't sign on or go on the computer everyday. Discussions are a little difficult for me since it's like a group thing and it's written and it's not like communicating one on one. But I do appreciate everyone's input all the time whether it's responding to my comments or sharing your own feelings and experiences.

We have been very busy too.  I spend two days trying to revive our desktop computer this week and finally had to lay the old work horse to rest...We have very limited access to a computer or the Internet now which has turned out to be a really good thing. So I won't be here much either anymore...I will still read here and post when I can...

Sometimes life interferes with what we are doing. Sunny is on her way to the far side of this country for two months of busy work. Last I knew her computer was not working properly as they some times do. If she does not answer she is not ignoring you, just too busy. And I have a very large amount of work to do right now so I may not be on all that much. We do still read though.

Thanks everybody for listening and responding!!
Davit... I agree it is hard to come here and bare your soul to the world...
~m...  I will try to say something before it gets bad again..Everyone does need to vent sometimes.
hugs... I can see you are real busy..It's not to late to get a hotel room...
Sunny... your right it is not about our egos and the group will go on with or without us..It would be nice to hear you post under your own name and avatar again though..It's so important to have your own identity and be a separate individual..This was a hard lesson for me to learn in life..I am just starting to finding out who I am...
Vincenza...I don't have a answer to your question...all I can say is I came here to post and be supported and encouraged by others and offer my support and encouragement to others..I think everyone needs to be encouraged whether they are having a good day or a bad day..We all need support and encouragement. You are right it doesn't matter how many members are logged in to the forum..What does matter is that people participate and share there voice..people need to Listen and Speak if you want a functioning support group....
I am going to take davit and sunnys advice and take a break for now..I do have things that I want and need to do and being online and here in the group as much as I am is preventing me from moving forward with my life..I am sure the group can go on without me. I have been a Caregiver both professional and personally most of my life and it is time that I did something different with my life, like take care of my own wants and needs...I will miss everyone here and will check in from time to time.
Take care everyone.

As for elevators, I'm not afraid of the machine, but being in a closed area with someone I dislike is scary

Red,
I try to read what I can but sometimes it just doesn't "take" on the  best of times(I'm better with pictures - and have a great collection of 1960's Life Magazines!!!!).

Right now, there's a renovation going on, and I wish I had taken your subtle suggestion of staying in a hotel.  I can barely log on since there are other priorities(eg. running two floors to the bathroom because there are major leaks).

I'm going to write a book on how to lose weight by eating dust when the dust settles....

This forum is like a big dance hall, and there are all these beautiful wallflowers, so how do we invite them to dance, post...maybe just reading our posts is the best some people can do....since I've been on that wall all my life...think of the serenity prayer...how does it go

ps. it took me a year before I could post

Red, I apologize... I am guilty of not responding to each of your  posts.  You have been sounding so solid and certain of what you are doing and content with the positive choices you are making... I just didn't feel like I had anything to add... I do read your posts and am always happy to see your contributions to the forums.  I will try to get better at letting you know that... Could you maybe try letting us know when you start feeling badly so we can reach out before it gets so bad you just want to disappear.

Dearest invisible woman.

Red my friend, you know you are not really invisible. We (me and sunny and probably every one else) do read your posts. I just some times am too tired to answer.
By the way that was a good vent. A bit strong but if that is how you really feel so be it but I think the frustration took hold a bit. Yes we need more people but so far have been able to rope in only a fraction of the people reading. Maybe now they will be willing to come and express their frustration and feelings.
Sunny say's that she gets frustrated and feels not very important when her comments get attributed to me, and I am guilty of using other peoples (hers mostly) quotes. (that and we are too busy harvesting) She says the group is more important than her own ego and she feels the group can go on with or without her. I disagree. I think all of us need a rest once in a while but we all have something to contribute.
I also think that some people are not being as open as they could or would like to be and this is going to hold them back. It is hard to bare ones soul where everyone can see it but if you don't it eats at you and holds you back.

Red,

There are several great reasons to belong to such a group. No matter the number of members logged on to the forum, what is important is that everyone is here for one another, to support, offer advice and share personal experiences.

You mentioned that you joined the forum to get well and you have.
Have your health goals changed since you first joined this group?  If so, what are they?  What specific help do you feel you need in order to achieve those goals?

~m and everyone...

I am not trying to be hurtful..I am sorry if I came off that way and if I hurt you or anyone else..but Whats The Point in
coming here and posting and feeling like I am invisible...I post and no one even says anything it's like I am not even here.
This has become very depressing for me and the way I see it is if it makes me feel bad than it is I need to stop coming here.
