In July, I learned:
1. how hard it is when someone that was always there goes away, even if it's just a short distance. 
2. I can miss a person I hate.
3. that I'm more conditioned than I thought (not only about my own past but culturally). 

The most memorable has been when I chatted with an international friend online. It had been a while since I had such personal contact with someone so it was very refreshing.

2. I have a better understanding of the relationship among my thoughts, emotions and behaviours

Things aren't as easy as they seem; others see the world differently from me; I don't have the resilience I thought.
 
There was a moment when I was able to do something on my computer which I wish I could have done long ago, when it would have been helpful at work.  Like a lot of things, I find I can do them if I have patience, and resources.
