Vacation!

12 years ago 0 11 logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo 0
I definitely need a vacation, but not just from work, from regular life too. With my first vacation (going somewhere that doesn't involve visiting with relatives) happening just last year I very much would like to go on another one. A formal vacation isn't likely to happen.

I've been thinking of booking myself into a hotel in town. During that time no phone and no computer, just doing what I like for a day or maybe two.

Hello Ashley. Your advice is so important and I enjoyed the part when you referred "do not forget vacationing from the everyday grind"". I always enjoyed spending my vacations in other countries, and looked forward to the travel time, forgetting to relax in the present. Because of my personality I even became obsessed with this travel time, and didn't think in other aspects of life.

Now I am learning to change that and I am trying to live a more balanced life doing different things.

Members,

Do you need one?
Do you want one?
Can you afford one?

Take one!

The purpose of week-end preparation is to prepare yourself for those situations that will tempt you.  Vacations can help in rewarding your efforts as well as stepping up your preparation skills for those unexpected situations.

Vacations do not have to be expensive or far away.  A vacation is time away from the ordinary grind and something that is needed to relax both the mind and body.

Vacation at a friend’s house
Go away
Vacation is the back yard (like camping)
Vacation at a borrowed cottage

Taking the time to plan a vacation well in advance can help relieve stress and complications. You are ready for anything, you are prepared and you are going to relax!

Don’t forget vacationing from the everyday grind can be as simple as watching T.V all week-end or hiking your favorite trail.  Any experience that relaxes your body and mind is worth doing.
