Ashley,

Thank for asking this question.  I am really feeling good about making this a regular routine.  The thing that is motivating me is that I want to get stronger.  Exercising will strengthen my muscles, legs, heart, and get more oxygen to my brain. My health is the one thing I have neglected to take of on my road to recovery.  This will get me out 5 days a week which is great for my agoraphobia and anxiety also.  I really do want a happier and healthier life.  I really feel good about my decision to start taking better care of myself.  I will get stronger and might loose some weight which would help with my self image and would be great for my heart.  Thanks for asking me this question this morning.  I really do like the positive self talk and posting about the positives it really helps keep me in a  positive frame of mind and motivates me to keep moving in a positive direction with my life..... Well I really go to go now talk to you later.

Awesome Red!

It will certainly help in many areas of your life.

I personally love walking too!  Keep us updated on how you are doing.

How are you planning on keeping yourself motivated to stick with this new routine?

Ashley,

Great Idea!
By the the way I started going out and exercising again yesterday morning and am going again this morning.  I really see no reason for me to not go walking in the morning since I am up at about 530 am every morning.  I am working on making this routine. Exercise makes me feel better in many ways.  My doctor said I could get stronger if I started to exercise and maybe lose some weight also.  I sleep a lot better last night after exercising yesterday..  Well got to go I am off for my morning walk.

Hi members,

We are very fortunate to have a number of programs that we can offer to members to help them achieve a healthy lifestyle.  One program that is available is the Healthy Weight Center. In this program we have an Expert, Dr. Binks, who answers one member question once a month.  Do you have a question that is related to both Anxiety and Healthy Weight?  Is so please stop by the Healthy Weight Center and ask our Expert a question:   http://www.healthyweightcenter.net/Expert/AskTheExpert.aspx
