Myth or Fact

Thank you. I still think that the reason would be interesting but not important so much as the fact that it is curable equally no matter what the gender as long as the person wants it bad enough.
Here I think women have an advantage. I think they are more willing to stick with it to the end more than men who tend to want to just bull through it. Either way the key is to have the patience and the confidence to do it. And we have people here that are proof that it works no matter what the gender.

Hi Davit,

I think you and I may have discussed this a bit before.  The reasons why can vary, biological, social pressures etc.  recently I stumbled across this article you might find interesting from Science Daily: http://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2010/06/100615105239.htm

Is there a reason why?

Members,

Myth: Women are affected by anxiety disorders at the same rates as men.

Fact: For four of the five anxiety disorders, women are twice as likely to be affected as men. These disorders include: Generalized Anxiety Disorder; Panic Disorder; Posttraumatic Stress Disorder; and Specific Phobias.
