Who and What has helped you the most?

My MOM has been my Rock!  She has supported me even through the times that I was not "myself".  She helped me to grieve the loss of my baby boy and my baby girl, while at the same time grieving for them herself.  My Mom has stood by me and loves me unconditionally.  She is my Best Friend!

YES YES YES

I knew you could do it! And so did you. Congratulations! This reinforces the thought that Me getting better was not just an accident. See it really happens! I bet you feel real good.

Peace
Davit.

This is a good question...
Learning about panic disorder, so I understand what's happening to me
Initially, medication helped me feel like myself again and relax enough to work through it
CBT helped a lot at working on the underlying issues that cause me stress and figuring out better ways of thinking
My family/friends being supportive
And this may sound weird, but it helped push me to expose myself to the tougher stuff when my doctor and this site said flat out that avoidance doesn't work.  On a follow-up appt 8 months after my diagnosis, my doctor said that I wasn't doing everything I could to overcome this unless I got on a plane (my greatest fear and site of first attack.)  I was mad and left his office, picked up my mom, went to the airport, booked tickets for a flight leaving immediately to the closest city, repeatedly told myself I could do it and wasn't going to let panic stop me, and the flight went great.  I may have been mad when he said it, but in the end, its made me realize everytime a new fear comes up including flying, that I can do it someday.  And so can everyone else on this site!

What - reading, reading, reading everything about panic disorder, taking CBT course and medication to help me feel good again so I could relax enough to learn.
Who - support group I was with for awhile.  Although I love my family, they could not support me, they did not understand and two members even said anxiety disorders did not exist and I was weak and it was all in my head.

My family has been a great big help and I do appreciate them!  It has helped to know that there is a place to come in the middle of the night if i needed it.  It keeps me from going crazy with panic!

Can only get here once in a while, kids need the computer for homework!
