Minnesota,

DazedMommy is right, everybody has their own strengths. The key is to focus on these strengths, and to focus on what is positive in our lives.

Minn & DM, You are both stars!

Hi Minn

Comparing ourselves to siblings... *sigh*  I have two sisters and we are all so different but we all compete on some level...

I have to say though... we all have our own strengths.  Some people are business minded and focus their interests that way.  Some people are creative... that would be you girl.  Your sewing skills are amazing and your quilting... beautiful.  I'm sure they envy that in you...

The sister I'm closest to lives in the ideal house... vacations in the right places and her inlaws are super loaded and take them on cruises etc.  From the outside it looks sooo great... but really she is with a complete "JERK"..to put it mildly but they have kids so they're in therapy... but it's not going anywhere and it's destroying her from within... I wouldn't trade our middle class life for that ever.. but there was a time that I was a bit green and wondered why her and not me... Shamefully I admit this...

So although it looks like they may be doing something better ... they most likely look at your life and envy aspects of it..

I wish I could do what you do...

I was labeled the "smart one" in our 3... and I hate that label... lol.. For a long time I felt my decision to stay home with my kids was a dissappointment to some in my family.. wasting my "brain"....

Now I know that my time with my kids was worth all that "judgement"... which was probably more my own that anyones... but now I'm just rambling...

You're a star minn...

I sometimes feel the negative stuff, My brother is really smart, he has his own business and he does so well, my sis has her own business, and I kind of just do whatever, sometimes I get down and think i'm just not as smart as them, its silly, I know.

Members,

Discovering your negative core beliefs are not as hard as you might think. Just keeping track can be eye-opening.

Usually, negative core beliefs include feelings of inadequacy, incompetence, inferiority or loss. For example:

  • I’m a loser
  • I’m broken
  • Nobody cares about me
  • People are mean

This week we invite you to keep track of your negative core beliefs and share your results here! Next week we will give you a form to help you further refine your tracking.
