DB naughty boy , but very funny hehe .

Do like your idea Johnny about recording yourself . I tried cammomile tea a couple of weeks ago , as i was recommmended it . Must say that i hated it and i put some honey in to try and sweeten it ( dont really like honey much either , hopeless case me ) .

Stress relief , i know this is one of the biggys why i got in such a state and became the state i was . I couldnt relax at all . I was on the go from morning till night . Just was restless all the time . Im better now but have no hobbies at all , used to enjoy reading . I read for hours but cant concentrate atm .
I do play alot of  pc games , i enjoy them . I love watching my two cats play with each other . This will sound so bad but i do find lots of relief having a good spring clean . Theres just something about the smell of bleach and cleaning products mmmmmm .
When the weathers nice i do like sitting in the garden with a cuppa and throwing the ball for our elderly doggy  . I love watching my smaller children create things , i buy alot of arty this so thers always plenty of glueing , colouring and painting and mess ! My youngest has learning disibities but she produces fantastic works of art all by herself .
I also find listenng to music can be great in bring me down .

darkblue & johnnyo,

Great ideas! I especially like the idea of using an audio journal and listening back to your own words in order to allow the emotions to come out more than they wold on paper. Excellent idea.

Anybody else have any great stress relievers they want to share?

I have often found communing with plants to be quite rewarding. Getting back to the earth or even just the energy of another life form.  I would say the next step there is the soothing energy of pets,  cats and dogs being used in seniors centres for healing etc.

We used to joke at one job that it would be nice to have a punching bag available for those times in the day when tension rode high.  On a similar note,  it is suggested to play an impact sport to get similar relief, ie tennis against a wall,  handball, racket ball.

Taking herbal teas.  You should see my cupboard with all the various varieties of sleepy type teas.

One innovative technique I used was to audio journal then listen back to it allowing emotions to come more fully than if trying to write it.

Some more acceptable in certain situations than others....

I won't try sex at work, but might try martial arts on my boss!

Writing helps me get perspective.
