Recovering from a panic attack

Members, The physical symptoms of panic attacks may be familiar to some of you. For others, here are some of the symptoms you may experience: €¢Terror €“ a sense that something unimaginably horrible is about to happen and one is powerless to prevent it €¢Racing or pounding heartbeat €¢Chest pains €¢Dizziness, light-headedness, nausea €¢Difficulty breathing €¢Tingling or numbness in the hands €¢Flushes or chills €¢Sense of unreality €¢Fear of losing control, going "crazy," or doing something embarrassing €¢Fear of dying If this is your first panic attack, it is always wise to seek medical attention to rule out any medical causes to your symptoms. Although the attacks only last a few minutes, the rebound effects and the recovery time after an attack can last up to a few hours.
