Well, i went to the movies for the movie festival again! I am beginning to be a real pro at this! Same deal with the line at the entrance and everything but i stayed calm and all went well. The movie was sad but really good and i am really glad I went. Once the initial anxiety subsided it really was great to be at the movies watching a really good spanish movie :) Anyway, just wanted to share that with you guys :) -Diva

Today i went to the movies on a day where the place would be super duper crowded. There is a film festival going on near here and this was a movie that everybody wanted to see. My mom bought the tickets three days in advance. I felt really nervous about the whole thing. But i really wanted to see the movie. So me and my mom started by going to the library to return some books (I like the library near here it is small and quiet lol). But then before the movie we had to go to Canadian Tire. Now that is a big crowded store that makes me fell like a three year old who lost her mommy. But i went in there anyway and i bought what i needed and was real proud of myself. Then to reward myself i bought myself some cool teddy bear stickers lol! Then we headed to the movie and when we got there there was already a long line of people waiting to go into the movie theater to take their seat... I felt like Oh no! So while my mom waited in line i went to get us some snacks lol figured i felt better moving then standing in line. Then i waited in line with my mom....No fun but my mom and I chatted and it was ok. then we found our seats and sat down and thankfully the movie started quickly so i didnt have that weird period waiting for the movie to begin. I was a bit nervous cause sometimes i panic in theaters but everything went really well and the movie really was worth seeing. I was really happy with my day when it was all over. Plus my mom and me had a nice chat over dessert after :) So anyway, i was nervous about my day this morning but i got through ti really well and i am glad i did go. Sure i used some mild forms of "secret avoidance techniques" (i.e. sitting near the aisle, having my safe object with me lol) but i still think i did really well :) Anyway, just wanted to share a great day with you guys :) -Diva

Diva, Congratulations!! I, too, have this same fear. I haven't been to the movies in two years now because I get panicky and fear having to leave the movie early or being surrounded by people in my most vulnerable state. My fiance and I have been talking about going to an early show where there will be few people so I wouldn't feel so bad. Your post has given me the desire to go see a movie and know I will be fine and I'll survive. We are going this week to see movie. Thanks for the post!
