7 days smoke free

Hi Pappy
Great to hear youre still going with this quit. It sounds like your head is in the right space to get this done. Im on day 9 and l can relate to the morning cravings. Its a matter of occupying the mind so it doesnt get influxed with thoughts of smoking. I saw you wrote that you are starting to have periods of time when you dont think of smoking at all. Its a really winning feeling isnt it. Im starting to feel that way also and l didnt think it would come so soon. I dont want to count chickens because l know its early days and lm wary of things that could knock me off my perch but l am enjoying the feeling when l realise lve gone for hours without thinking of smoking....its wonderful.

Hi Pappy,
"Nope, going through this once is more than enough incentive for me to stay away for good." I LOVE your attitude about your quit journey!!! Even though it's only been 11 days, with an attitude like that, I think you are going to make this journey last forever. Be sure and reward yourself too, you deserve it for sure. Keep it going Pappy!
Stay strong.

Mornings are the most difficult but if I keep my mind focused on other activities that keep my hands and mind busy it helps.  I just keep telling myself how far I have already come. 11 days without a cigarette is huge for me, and to give in to the addiction knowing I would have to start all over again. Nope, going through this once is more than enough incentive for me to stay away for good.

Hi Pappy,
Congratulations on completing hell week !!   Be sure and give yourself a reward for all your effort, it wasn't easy by any means.  It is good to hear that it is starting to get "a little" easier each day. Can you believe that you have went for a whole seven days without smoking, or hasn't it sunk in yet? You should be proud of yourself. Keep it going and be sure and watch out for all those triggers.
Stay strong.
