Congrats on almost three months of no smoking. Amazing!

Withdrawal can be incredibly tough, but you are right; "just one" will reinvigorate the addiction. 

It has been a few days since you posted last. How are you doing?

Hi Pursuit,
 Congratulations on quitting smoking!  "The withdrawals can be pretty bad" Yes sometimes they can be. Nicotine is a very nasty addicting drug. "Have thoughts about just having one and that it will just be one which is probably not going to be the case". You are right on this. There is no such thing as "just one". Many people have fallen in that trap and ruined their quit journey. Then you have to do it all over again, and as you know, it's not fun. "i have to make this the time to quit". If  you quit on November 1, you have a great quit going. You ended the year as a quitter and started this new year as a quitter. Hang in there, it WILL get easier in time. 
 If you have them time you might want to read through these forums. There's a lot of good information in here to help you along your journey and keep you on your path to freedom.
 Whenever you get one of those urges, log on and leave a message. Hopefully by the time you post it, the urge will have subsided and be more manageable. It's okay to "vent" too. We all need to release some pressure once in a while.  Keep us updated on your progress too okay?
Stay strong and watch out for those triggers.

Hi,

I quit November 1st 2018 due to finding a blood clot in my leg, always feeling tired, not in control of my life, and the amount of money i was spending. I am 34 and smoked almost two packs a day for the last 3-5 years of the 18 years i had been smoking. Used Chantix to help with quitting and it did make it much easier but also had some side affects that after awhile made me stop taking it earlier then recommended.

The withdrawals can be pretty bad, about once a day or every few days and they usually are anywhere from 10-60 minutes in length for me. I feel like the length of time is a bit longer than normal but i assume it might be due to the fact that i smoked almost two packs a day. Have thoughts about just having one and that it will just be one which is probably not going to be the case. Also have a good feeling if i ended up smoking again i probably would never quit again so i have to make this the time to quit.
