Welcome Nightcat!

Congrats on making it past Hell week! You are on your way.

Many people attempt to stop multiple times before having a successful quit. As our veteran member mentioned, what is important is that you learn from the slips.

What did you learn from your past attempts? What worked for you? What triggered you?

I look forward to reading about your quit journey!

Hi Nigthcat,
"I’ve stopped for several years but relapsed for 6 months". Slips do happen, and I hope you learned from your mistake. I wish you the best this time around. Maybe you can make this one stick forever.  Happy new year!
Stay strong.

To tell more about myself. I’ve been smoking 10-15 cig a day for 25 years. I’ve stopped for several years but relapsed for 6 months. I’m back on the horse again. I went cold turkey last time and I’m using this method again this time.

Hi Nightcat,
Six days tobacco free, awesome start on your quit journey. This is a great way to end 2018 and start out 2019.  How long were you a smoker, and how many did you smoke in a day? I'm just curious. Are you doing this cold turkey or are you using nicotine replacement therapy?  Have you tried to quit before or this this your first attempt?
It sounds like you are doing great so far, keep it up!
Stay strong.

Just wanna say hi to all fellow quitters. I decided to quit and haven’t touched tobacco for 6 days. Stumbled across this site while looking for support online.
