Hey Rita!!!

As if the withdrawals weren't enough, right???     You are absolutely correct... If you can get through Hell Week, Heck Week and Blah week  AND  deal with blurry vision and an aching tooth, you can definitely continue to kick that demon's ash on down the road!!!   BRAVO!!!!

Sounds to me like it ought to be a awesome reward-filled weekend for you!!!

       Way to go!!!

Day 23 ... I AM A NON-SMOKER !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You know I have had a bad two week period and still going through it.  Not with the quit but with physical problems.  I had cataract surgery a few years ago and now it appears that one of the lens they put in slipped and folded over and I am virtually blind in the right eye.  Saw the doctor yesterday and he made an appt for me with a specialist for Monday morning.  Guess surgery will be needed again.  I also have a major toothache with a cap that was done over a tooth without having root canal first.  I'm hoping by this time next Friday all will be back to normal, my sight and my teeth.  But hell, if I can make it through this without caving in, I am on the right path to becoming a lifetime NON-SMOKER.

Hey Whisper ... good to see you as well and to know that you are still quit.

Thanks, everyone for your suppport.

Hey Rita!!!

I'm happy to see you back and still hanging in there!  Just hold on one more day and you will be through with "Blah Week"!!!  I can understand the renewal of the tough craves this week.  The  first two weeks your energy is high and you are totally psyched to kick that nico-demon's butt!!!  The third week can be harder because of the amount of energy you are putting into your battles.

Know this... it DOES get better!  Keep striving to maintain that awesome attitude and keep craving your freedom!    When things get tough, log in!  If there's a weakness in your defense barrier, hopefully we can provide some guidance!  Remember, we're all here rooting for you!

One last thing... keep those rewards coming, especially when achieving milestones like 3 weeks smoke free after today!  Major accomplishment!!!  One day at a time, kicking the demon's ash, N.O.P.E.!!!    You CAN do this!

              Jim

Hi Rita.
Congratulations on your 20 days. I'm so happy to see you're still going strong, was starting to worry about you.
Sorry to hear that you've been having cravings yesterday and today, I've had a few moments like this lately too but no where near as bad as the first couple of days. I think mine are association triggers more than craving though.
Stay strong, you can do this, we both can do this.
Really nice to see you back and posting.

No, I have not broken my pledge to not smoke.  Been tempted mightly but have held on to the pledge and am still smokefree after 20 days.  Terrible cravings today and last night once I got home.  Suppose that is because home is where I always smoked like a chimney.  Will catch up on the board during the course of t6he day.
