Hey Rita!!!

You're doing great on your quit so far!  You are absolutely correct... you CAN do it!  I finally kicked that nico-demon's ash after more than 37 years!  I'm glad to see that you figured out how to set up your quit meter!  It can be a real motivating seeing your quit stats climb daily!

I, too, quit using Chantix after trying almost every other NRT out there!  It really did help to weaken the horrendous craves I experienced on previous quits and the dreams...    You now have a great support team right here and you should be able to go to the store from now on and bypass those cancer sticks every time!    Money in your pocket!!!

Hang in there and keep on taking it one day at a time!  We're all rooting for you!

                Jim

You know the old say"  If I can do it; you can do it"?  Well, I'm doing it.  It is hard this weekend but I was actually in a store yesterday and DID NOT ask for a pack of cigarettes.  Tomorrow will be easier ... I'll be at work.

You're doing great.  Keep going and we will share our win together.

Hi Guys,

Congratulations to you all !  Stick together and help each other, but don't forget the advice from the oldies too!

As far as I know, the quit meter comes with the site.  Just make sure you have filled in information in your profile and registration.

Whatever it takes, just don't smoke!!!

Love Lolly.

Hi  Rete,
Too much oxygen going the the brain huh? You know that is a fact now. I was getting headaches when I quit, and from the research I found that getting too much oxygen to the brain can actually give you a headache. Who'da thunk?
Hang in there it does get easier over time. You're a lot stronger than you thought you were!!

    Cigarettes Not Smoked

Well I answered me own question.  If I had completed my settings I would have found it like I just did ... Too much oxygen is going to brain from not smoking.  Can't think straight !

I'm new to the group.  Today is my day three of being smoke free and I like it.

The craving are mild so far because I'm taking Chantix but still your mind's eye will visualize you with a cig in your hand and feel the smoke down your throat but it fails to include the cough and the smell that goes with it.

Question for old timers ... where did you get those cool smoking meters from?  I would love to have one.

Rita
