Welcome to the SSC and congrats on your decision to quit smoking!  Lots of great advice so far!  Just remember this quit is all about you!  Treat yourself like royalty, and reward yourself often!  Small guilty pleasures to tell your brain you don't need a smoke to have fun!  Post as often as you need, if only to rant and rave!  We're all rooting for your success!

Welcome to the "ex" club Telulha. There's lots of long term smokers here who are now long term quiters. The wheezing (coughing) and numbness do go away.We have a lot of valuable experience here.  Stick close for now.
You can do this!

Welcome Telulah!
Congratulations on your decision to quit!!!
This is a hard but empowering journey. You are \breaking apart from this nasty addiction that enslave and slowly kills us. I can read that you are prepared. Just take one craving at a time and you will be fine.
I wrote down my top ten reasons to quit and I read them everytime I had a craving. Deep breathing helped me a lot too.
So hang on!!!! This gets better as days go by!
Cry, shout, run, sing, sleep, but don't smoke!
