Congratulations on your decision to quit Auntie
You had come to the right place. You will find excellent insight about the addictio from the great counselors and you will have the great support of succesful quitters and newbies like me that are rooting for your success.
My hubby doesn't smoke so although he really loves my nonsmoking status, sometimes can't understand what quitting is all about. He is not or has not been addicted to anything so he can't experience what we all go trough..
As Rock always does, go trough MY PROGRAM.. You will get a better understanding of your addiction . Read as much as you can, and have your ice water on hand!
Welcome

auntie,

It can be very difficult when those around you smoke and you are trying to quit. However you are coming to the right place for the support and encouragement you need to get through this successfully! It is also great to hear that you will have the support of your husband through this quit, this will surely be helpful.

Good luck auntie! You can do this!

Thank you again for all your support I sure need it, this group is where I will get my main support, since all my family and friends are smokers I will need some body to talk to and like you just said vent.

So far so good since I decided to quiet smoking in the house I have only had 5 smokes since 6:30 am. Mind you I don't spend alot of time doing any one thing I will go do something than when I think I need a smoke I will go do something else to try and take my mind off it.

My husbund works out of town and he will be home tomorrow for the first time in a week so I guess I will have to tell him what I have done about quitting.  Since my last failure at quitting I never told him how or when I was going to try again so I guess he is in for a surprise when he gets home tomorrow. I know he will give him his 100% support but he is gone alot to work so it just me and my dog here so I will need encouragement when my hubby isn't around to give support.

Time to go do something else because I think  should have a smoke but NO that is not going to help.
