Welcome KC, this is a great place to quit! Start by readin everything you can here, old and new. Do the program, you will learn about your own quit.  You will learn how to get by that one month bump in the road and quit for good. We have all done it here and you can too! I would ease off the drinks for a couple of weeks until you get stronger in your quit, iy helps to build up your confidence in yourself before you test too much! Congrats to you! Post and find some quit buddies and you're away! Not One Puff Ever is our motto here!

Thanks everyone for the support, I love this site! I am looking forward to keeping in touch and reading and posting and anything else possible to do to stay smoke free. Yesterday was my first big test- I went out for dinner and drinks and I didnt smoke afterwards. I honestly have to say this might be the first time I have not secretly smoked after drinking. There is a store in my neighbourhood that sells single cigarettes for 50 cents each and single cheap cigars (colts etc) and I wanted to run in there sooooo bad with the thought of whats ONE cigarette no one will ever know... but i walked past the store and went home and drank a lot of water (helped with dehydration more than withdrawal symptoms but hey... at least I didnt smoke.) Today was the fist time I woke up and didnt think about a cigarette right away... I had my first thought of a cigarette after about 2 min. (still shameful). I was one of those smokers whos only motivation to get out of bed was to go smoke. I joined a gym and I start tomorrow - mainly out of the fear of gaining weight and because I have all this spare time now. If only I could be motivated to clean behind my fridge and stove.... any support groups for cleaning house around here? LOL
