Congrats on your wonderful granddaughter. I applaud your efforts of quitting again and coming back for support. It generally takes a few tries before you get it right, so dont beat yourself up over what is in the past, but learn from it. So Woooo-Hooo for a great quit this time. Welcome back Peteg, I did the relapse after a year just like you but I'm back quitting. You know the way to do it! Set a date, read lots of posts, keep a journal to track triggers, load up on red vines, mints straws to inhale, get things to keep hands busy knit a baby hat, lots of ice water. Clean out the smoke smell if you smoked indoors. Wash the windows wash your jackets and clothes. Get a walking routine started. Punch the pillows. Are you gonna use the patch or other NRT? Remember you can't have one puff. Hey Everybody, I'm back. Came back once before after a slip and got slammed by some people, so I ran away. I was almost 8 moths smoke free, and decided that I would work better with an occasional smoke, and now I'm back to 2+ packs a day. Need to do it all again. Not sure when or how, but soon. I have a granddaugher now; she's in a NICU (born 8 weeks premature, and I can't even think about smoking anywhere near her. Don't know far back anyone goes, but our old friend DuneDad was spared the San Diego fires and is okay. Maybe we can hook up again together here. peteg My Milage: My Quit Date: 10/30/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 371 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 18,550 Amount Saved: $2,040.50 Life Gained: Days: 66 Hrs: 18 Mins: 2 Seconds: 33
