Esperanza It was wonderful to hear from you and that you are smoke free. And, yes! Just note those stressful situations that trigger smoking thoughts...and how you ignore them and continue on. You're doing great!!! Be very proud of yourself. Please check in from time to time. -aloha My Milage: My Quit Date: 3/22/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 157 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 6,280 Amount Saved: $1,067.60 Life Gained: Days: 21 Hrs: 21 Mins: 10 Seconds: 17

24 days and going strong. Weaning off the Chantix now. My insurance runs out in October, so I need to wean off of it now. I can go 3 days without a pill, so I think it'll be OK now. Hubby is still smoking, but he won't smoke in my car and he still smokes outside. He is also making sure he washes his hands and face at night after his last one before bed. I just wish he'd quit. I refuse to push him into it, since no one pushed me. I want him to quit when he's ready. At the new job I only know of one smoker, but the part-timers haven't started yet, so we'll see how it goes. We're opening up a new Kohls store, and it's VERY stressful. I almost broke down in tears today a few times because the stress got to me and I don't smoke anymore. It's tough, but I'm beating it! Thanks to you all for your support! I read a lot here, I just don't post a whole lot. My Milage: My Quit Date: 8/2/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 24 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 480 Amount Saved: $75.84 Life Gained: Days: 1 Hrs: 20 Mins: 58 Seconds: 47

Hi there, I agree with the rest here, get rid of those cigarets. You don't need them anymore, you're a nonsmoker from now on. So, tell your son to throw out those nasty sticks and start living a healthy life. Good that your husband is going to quit with you, together you can support eachother and that is such a helpful thing. Good luck for the both of you. Hey Esperanza, Welcome to your new life! I agree with new me - those cigarettes have GOT to GO. Be sure to make a list of the reasons you want to quit and a list of what you hate about smoking. It's a good thing to look back on if things get tough. Just remember, if it seems overwhelming, break it down. Just get through one craving at a tiem and if you just don't light that next cigarette and repeat...you've quit! Stay close and all the best My Milage: My Quit Date: 8/5/2004 Smoke-Free Days: 1096 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 21,920 Amount Saved: $4,932.00 Life Gained: Days: 83 Hrs: 17 Mins: 11 Seconds: 33

    Cigarettes Not Smoked

16 years ago 0 77 logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo 0
Hi Esperenza! I'm on Chantix too, the cravings do go away. I find when I slipped at the beginning, that having a cigarette just was not the same. My husband will be starting on Chantix too. We can do this!
