Welcome Denny! It sounds as if you've got your plan in place and it is already working! Good for you! And you are right, the side effects of your quit are not life threatening, smoking is! Glad you joined us Denny. And congratulations on your decision to quit smoking!!!! I am a Zyban quitter. I took the Zyban for two weeks before I quit and have to say I haven't craved as much. I'm using the patch as well because I was always one to have trouble quitting. Now I've been quit for over a month. Good luck to you. We'll be watching for you. Welcome Denny, Matri is referring to the situations or events during the day that cause you to pull out a smoke and light up, such as after a meal, driving your car, just because it is that time of the day... If you know your tiggers can plan distractions for them when they occur to help prevent you from lighting up. Please look off to the left of SCC home page and read and work the items under "You Are Here". Hi Denny, I love your plan; it is a good one and it worked for me as well. Identify the triggers before the quit date and work on reducing those smokes. Postphone those smokes until just a little later on during the day (practice, practice, practice). Yes, yes, yes! Right way, keep your discipline with the smoke reductions. Don't allow yourself to let the smoking numbers creep up on you, only to wind down.
