I'm glad you are going to try to quit again and wish you the best. Sometimes it just takes some practice to get a thing right.
I really like your motto and the idea of using a rubber band as a reminder. One of the biggest helps I've learned this quit, in addition to throwing everything out in the trash, is to have a motto ready to answer my thoughts about wanting a cigarette. Instead of trying to reason myself out of it, it's so much easier and more effective to have a quick comeback to shut myself up!
