Sparky I am so touched by your post......I feel every bit of that pain with you. You can do this Sparky because you want to do this for yourself. It is important......no....its CRITICAL the way we perceive ourselves and it seems that you realise that. Personal self respect is more important and certainly not worth sacrificing for a lousy, smelly, stinky, poisonous ol butt.
You can do this Sparky you really can.....you can do this because you realise the enourmous significance of what it means in your life and how you perceive yourself. I guess you have now figured out that you deserve NOT to smoke. Its not about giving something up....its about letting something in.....:)And that can be very challenging.
I feel that we are sub-consciously compelled sometimes to remind ourselves how important our self worth is and we sabotage ourselves in some way to give ourselves a jolt. But its not a failure, its a step in a process that is bringing us closer to self awareness and self realization. Giving up smoking can be a very potent tool in that journey.....hence the pain and anguish when we think we have failed. Its just a sign that we want to love ourself more than we want to punish ourself.
See ya round Sparky.....:)
